About me

Nadja Susemichel represents kunstgymnastik, a group of 8 people which meet regularly to discuss about contemporary art. Together we visit exhibitions, present each other artistic as well as academic positions and develop own projects. Connecting theory and praxis in a vivid way plays a fundamental role. The focus of this research lies on art and public space, participation, exhibition as media, intercultural aspects and art mediation. Every member of the group has its own approach towards art; thus, the represented positions are heterogeneous and often contradictory. We do not want to dissolve these diverse positions entirely, but rather expand and invigorate the individual view and approach towards art by promoting both coexistence and a joint venture of these oppositions.
